Some Indonesian Tradition before Ramadhan
There are so much tradition because Indonesia has so many area. However, this article conclude that some activities is little bit same, those are:
1. Eating Together
Eating together two days before Ramadhan is one of Indonesian family habit. Some are called it megengan in Java but the other is different.
They cook homemade food and then eat together. It can be for some family members, neighbors, employee in an office, etc.
2. Cleaning Mosque
As stated before that Reward will be given many times by God in the Ramadhan. So, people will clean mosque.
This is the place to pray, recite Al qur'an, etc to get reward from God. All family members will clean the mosque and make it comfort when they use in the Ramadhan.
3. Back to Home
It means that, people from a city to another city. Mostly the purpose is to visit older, going and pray in the grave, cleaning their previous home, etc.
Although back to home tradition is happen after Ramadhan, some people that have holiday is back home in some day before Ramadhan.
It's just three of main Indonesia family tradition before Ramadhan happen. Although there is another tradition, but it's different.
