Moms Struggle after Leaving Hometown

 Woman life will be different after married. She has husband and kids that become responsible. One of challenge is following husband to move in another city.

Moms will leave hometown, parents, friends, sisters, etc. She move to new city with so much new things. There will be a good news if moms is easy to adjust in the new environment.

That's little bit easy if moms just move to another city that still one island with hometown. If the new city is in another island till another country, the distance become so far.

The opportunity to back in the hometown is easy when hometown is still one island. For example, from Surabaya to Jakarta.

Moms and family will leave so many memories from the hometown. They will homesick. Moms can back to hometown one times in a years.

The duration for go home is depends on the money and leisure time. Money use to buy transportation ticket. Moms can choose some transportation like train, car, bus, or air plane.

The leisure time is related to holiday. Family is busy like kids with school time, moms and dad has time for works. So, family can decide time for holiday together.

Especially working that has limited time to get holiday. The price of transportation ticket will increase in the holiday.

Somethings that Make Moms Homesick

There are many things that make moms homesick and wanna go home. This things cannot find in the current home.

1. Food

Food in the one city with other is different. For example, Ketoprak in Jakarta will be different with Ketoprak in Surabaya.

So, if moms hometown is Jakarta and then move to Surabaya, moms will find different taste of Ketoprak. This is will happen with all city in the world.

Moms is difficult to find authentics cuisine like in the hometown, except she can cook by itself. That's still different.

2. Tradition

Indonesia has so many island. Every place has different tradition. Moms cannot find tradition like in the hometown.

For example, in the seven day after Ied Fitri is the time for Ketupat in the East Java. That's different with Jakarta which not has Ketupat after seven day of Ied Fitri.'

Moms will missed every tradition when eat, cook, sitting together in the one till three day wedding cannot find in another city.

3. Environment

Environment is almost same with tradition. It depends on the environment around moms current home. The environment in Bojonegoro that have neighbors which always getting touch.

In the other city like Jakarta which has busy people, never stay at home except after working. However when stay in the Jakarta that Bojonegoro people around will make moms feels like home.

Leaving hometown is one of moms sacrifice. Do not be sad, in this era there are so many social media make easy to call family in the far away.

Moms can call friend in the hometown, or video call parents. That will make moms cannot feel homesick again. Just enjoy the struggle in the hometown!
